"Intelligent transport systems"
are the application of new information and communication technologies in transport activities. This concerns all systems used to collect, store, process and disseminate information on the movement of people and goods. For example:
- traveller information systems
- electronic payment systems (electronic toll collection, ticket automation)
- freight management systems
- public transport fleet management systems
- traffic management aid systems
- active road safety systems.
Egis Mobilité participates in many innovative ITS projects in France and abroad, building on:
- a reputation gained over ten years
by participating in European Union R&D programmes in Europe,
- the multidisciplinarity of its teams of experts

- experience acquired
by actively participating in the French PREDIT transport R&D programme and in the research programme of ASFA (Association des Sociétés Françaises d'Autoroutes – Association of French motorway companies).
These systems pave the way toward the development of new types of mobility services
, in which Egis Mobilité , with the Egis group, intends to involve itself as an operator: multimodal information systems, interoperable electronic payment systems, etc....
